Signature type fields
Signatures can be gathered as a full signature, just initials, or as a signature date. Etch packets also support two unique signature type fields- signer name and signer email.
All signature type fields are directly linked to signers. For example, signer name and email type fields are automatically filled out with the connected signers’ information rather than a Webform field or literal value. This is helpful if a signers’ information is ever updated.
Similarly, signature date type fields are automatically filled when signers sign. This can be helpful for contracts and other date sensitive documents that go into effect the day signers actually sign.
Additionally, signer settings can impact the appearance of signature and initial type fields. Specifically, you can determine whether signatures and initials are drawn or typed and whether or not unique user ids and timestamps are added.
